Miss Gail simply laughed.
"Of course not... You guys can't possibly be strong enought to kill a lecturer," said the plump middle-aged woman.
Just then, Bhakta started jerking uncontrollably.
Miss Gail and Wendy jumped.
"Oh my God... What's happening to you? Srinivas?"
Bhakta stopped for a momment. Then he started lunging forward. Xavier and the rest duck. He had claws for arms.
"It's his disease," Wendy exclaimed.
Bhakta was transforming, this time he turned a dark shade of grey. He fired a laser from his mechanical chest, now laden with complex structures. Miss Gail summoned a strong gale upon Bhakta's mechanical parts, causing them to malfunction slightly. But Bhakta recovered, brushing Miss Gail aside.
Bhakta charged at Xavier, but Hua Feng blinked him out on time. David created a sword out of thin air and charged at Bhakta. He slashed at a soft part that was hidden from the mechanical armor.
"Die and be at peace... God bless you!"
But instead of falling, Bhakta drew one final breath and fired a huge gigaflame at David, sending him flying back. Then he got up, holding tightly to his bleeding wound.
"Run..." Bhakta muttered beneath his mechanical form, as if his little bit of humanity was trying to break free. Then he further transformed, into a mechanical wolf-man.
"The mastermind... he is...ROAR!"
This time he charged at Wendy. She screamed and blinked far away out of the way. But Miss Gail took the chance and created a tornado that trapped Bhakta, then quickly injected the antidote into his neck. At that very moment, Hua Feng's neck hurt where the tattoo was implanted. This time it hurt even more than ever.
As Bhakta regained consciousness, he quickly muttered what he needed to say.
"I didn't mean to join him... He forced me to... The mastermind... He is..."
Then he passed out.
Xavier and David sighed, and they put Bhakta into the stretcher. Just then, a hooded figure raised a sniper rifle. He fired a bullet at Bhakta's mechanical heart. But Gail managed to block it with a gust of wind. Then she trapped the attacker in a storm and pulled him towards her. The tornado was about to rip the hood from his face, when suddenly Gail's tornado just stopped.
Hua Feng tried to blink, but failed.
"Silencer!" Hua Feng exclaimed.
But the hooded man fled and disappeared behind the wall behind a foodcourt.
The next few days was much pondering in the Animaxion lab; about who the mastermind could be and where Adz and Daryl had went. Rayiant was sitting at a corner drawing quietly as they awaited any news of Bhakta regaining consciousness.
"So what do we do...?" Hua Feng asked. "The other half of the manuscript is with us, the mastermind... will hunt us down."
"Well... we've to risk it then. The mastermind wants it... We give it," Xavier pointed out.
"What the fuck! You siao ah!" Hua Feng exclaimed.
"Give then give lo..." David replied. "We can use it to lure him out ma!"
"Yup... WE can use it to lure him out."
